Tsunami

A tsunami (plural: tsunamis or tsunami; from Japanese :lit. "harbor wave";English pronunciation, also known as a seismic sea wave, is a series of water waves caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water, generally an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes , volcanoes eruption and other under water explosions (including detonations of underwater nuclear devices), landslides, glacier calving ,meteorite impacts and other disturbances above or below water all have the potential to generate a tsunami.

Tsunami waves do not resemble normal sea waves, because their wave length is far longer. Rather than appearing as a breaking wave, a tsunami may instead initially resemble a rapidly rising tide, and for this reason they are often referred to as tidal waves. Tsunamis generally consist of a series of waves with periods ranging from minutes to hours, arriving in a so-called "wave train".

Tissues

What are tissues???
Tissues consists of a group of cell which are similar in structure and function.There are two types of tissues meristametic tissue and permanent tissue.
Meristametic tissue;
These types of tissue have an ability to divide.These types of tissues have thin walls and found in the apex of shoot and they grow by adding primary tissues.
Permanent tissue;
These types of tissues don not have an ability to divide itself .It have thick walls to maintain it's shape.These types of tissue are made up of meristametic tissue.

Cynobacteria

What is cynobacteria???
Cynobacteria is a blue green algae.They are prokaryotes .They may occur in alone or in form of colony.Their cell wall is double layered.Their protoplasm is divided in to two parts outer colored region and inner colorless region.They live in water ,fresh water or marine water.water. Their is total absence of sexual reproduction.Only sexual reproduction take place.

Bacteria

What is bacteria???
Bacteria are unicellular prokaryotes.They are the largest number of creatures and are found every where on earth because some bacteria need oxygen to survive and some can live without oxygen.They can live in freezing and hot temperatures.Their size range from 0.2 to 2(microns) in width and 2 to 10 (microns) in Length.

Virus

What is virus???
Virus is neither plant or animal therefore it is devoid of cell membrane or cell wall.They are non-cellular obligate parasites.They can not live or reproduce out side the living organism.They reproduce by replication.It is extremely covered with rigid protein coat called caspid. It is broader at one end and narrow at other called head and tail respectively.respectively. They lie between living and non-living organisms.

How virus is a living organism???
Virus is considered a living organism because of the following properties;

  1. Their RNA or DNA is surrounded by a protein coat somewhat resemble the chromosomes of other living organisms.
  2. They reproduce by replication.
  3. Many kinds of virus are known to undergo mutations.
  4. Virus show genetic recombination.
Why virus is considered a non-living organism???
Virus is considered as a non-living organism because of the following properties;

  1. Non-cellular structure.
  2. Undergo crystallization.
  3. Completely inactive out side the host's cell

Diseases

Human fungal diseases

Fungi and algae

What is fungi???
Fungi is an unicellular organism ,their body is called mycellium made up of hyphae. They are not considered as plants as well as animals.The following are the characters of fungi;

  1. They are non-chlorophylls.
  2. They do not have any pigment.
  3. They are found in dry and moist places.
  4. They are parasites.
  5. They are decomposer.
  6. Fungi are also used in making medicines and are also used in food.
  7. Some fungi are edible and some are poisonous.
  8. The examples of fungi are mushroom,
    ustilago,penicillin,etc.
  9. They are heterotrophs.
What is algae???
Algae are neither plants or animals because they do not have stems ,roots ,leaves and flowers.They are found in stagnant water.

  1. They are simple organisms that contain chlorophyll.
  2. They grow in water and remove oxygen from water,therefore harming plants and aquatic creatures.
  3. They are autotrophs.
  4. Their size range from single cell to multicellular cells.
  5. They require aquatic environment for reproduction.
  6. They do not have modification that protects gametes and zygote from dying out.
  7. They are symbiotic or independent.
