States Of Matters

Matter

A substance which occupies space and have mass is known as matter.There are four common states of matter ;

Solid

Solid have fixed shape and definite volume. Solid particles are tightly packed that they could not move freely.There are some solids which acts like liquid for example sand ,sugar ,etc.The examples of solids are glass , chair, table, pencil,etc.

Liquid

Liquid don't have fixed shape it take the shape of container but it have fixed volume .The particles of liquid have little space between them that they can move around .The some examples of liquid are water , juice, etc.

Gas

Gas don't have neither fixed shape nor fixed volume it takes the shape  and volume of container.The particles of gas have many space to move around freely . The example of gases are oxygen , nitrogen etc.

Plasma

Plasma was discovered in 1920s . It only exists in very high temperature like nuclear power experiments or like stars. Small amounts of plasma also makes flashes of lightning .Plasma is like gas. But some atoms lose electrons and become positive , while electrons move freely .
